  • Marshae Anderson, MA, LPC

    Mental Health Counselor

Marshae Anderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the state of Michigan. She holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Marshae enjoys the variety in her profession clinically and interpersonally and, therefore, loves the diversity and uniqueness each client brings to the therapy space. Marshae has vast experience successfully treating children, adolescents, adults, and families in various settings, including outpatient practices, residential and intensive outpatient programs, and hospitals. From each, she has developed a specific interest in working alongside adolescents, young adults, and adults to tackle issues ranging from life transitions, PTSD, depression, anxiety, trauma abuse, and Eating Disorders. Marshae feels strongly that effective therapist customizes their therapeutic methods to match the client’s needs, strengths, and personality. From this trauma-informed, strengths-based, person-centered perspective, she often utilizes cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, existential, and solution-focused approaches and techniques. Marshae knows that forming a therapeutic alliance built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect is imperative to effective therapy and can, at times, be healing in and of itself. She aims to walk with, challenge, and empower her clients to experience healing in a safe, accepting environment. Ultimately, her goal is for those she encounters, either in her clinical practice or daily life, to know that they are inherently valuable, that suffering can be made meaningful, and that healing is possible. When Marshae is not engaged in her professional work time, she appreciates quality time with friends and family, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and reading a good book.
